Potluck Party!

Last night was Grand Harmony's Annual Potluck Party! The evening involved lots of food and singing with great friends. It took place at the residence of our President, Roxanne, and generally celebrates the completion of a year filled with private events, public shows and the contest season. It also celebrates the fact that summer has arrived!!

You can see a photo recap on our Facebook page, here.

Now we are taking a 2 week break, then it’s all about Christmas as we prepare for recording our Christmas CD in August.

Death by Chocolate a Delicious Smash

There wasn't an empty seat in the house for Grand Harmony's Death by Chocolate event at Kitchener’s Victoria Park Pavilion on June 10th.

It was an afternoon of chocolate, wine, tea, chorus performances, quartet performances and shopping.

Here's a photo recap on Facebook of the shenanigans that made this day so fabulous!

A huge thank you to all who came out to spend this day with us!

December 10, 2017 | Grand Harmony Chorus (& Sharp Attack Quartet) performed for the Christkindl Market audience. This was the market's 21st time taking place and it gets bigger each year.

They have nearly 100 craft and food vendors that take over Kitchener City Hall and Carl Zehr Square and a chunk of King Street.

This festival is always a blast to perform at! Can't wait for next year!

November 26, 2017 | Tis the Season sold out in record time this year! The show was a joy to perform for a cappella fans, friends and family! The set included long-time favourites such as Carol of the Bells and gorgeous new ballads, such as Coventry Carol. The event featured quartets Key of She, Rezonation, Zamira, Serenity, Contour and Sharp Attack. And for an extra treat, guest group, The Holiday Harmony Ensemble performed. This ensemble included kids from 12 years of age to 24, each with incredible vocal talent.

Guests at the show were treated to home baked cookies, squares, treats, juice, coffee and more. Over 25 prize baskets were raffled off and won by those in attendance.

Grand Harmony Teaches Tags at Eastbridge Idol Face-off

June 25, 2017, Eastbridge Community, Waterloo | Grand Harmony had such a blast running an 'Eastbridge Idol' Face-Off (sing-off).

Family teams ran through 30+ challenges and checkpoints. At our checkpoint, race teams were taught a 'tag' (i.e. small part of a song) in four part harmony. Teams sang in competition with each other. The winner moved on to their next clue while the other waited for the next team to come sing. It was ridiculously fun and we met some great singers in our neighbourhood!

One of the tags was from the song, You Are So Beautiful. It's amazing how quickly complete strangers can create gorgeous harmony with the right tag!! The other song was a barbershop tag that we changed into an Eastbridge Idol tag. :-)

Canadian Road Show Was a Hit!

Saturday, June 10, 2017 @ 2pm & 7:30, Elmira | Grand Harmony Chorus celebrated Canada 150 with an a cappella journey across Canada!

From the Calgary Stampede to Corner Gas to Charlottetown and Celine Dion to Barenaked Ladies to Michael Bublé, it was all about Canada's best landmarks, music and customs - including a few dozen stops at Timmies...

A delicious spaghetti dinner between shows gave everyone a chance to meet, chat and dine with the chorus. Our fabulous volunteer team in the kitchen served up spaghetti, fettuccini, caesar salad, buns, refreshments and dessert.
