Lots of fun last night! Here's a quick reminder of some key points
General
-be sure that cut offs are in the right spot, especially in rhythmic pieces
-keep all "ah" vowels (ground, round) more British than American for now|
-core engagement at all times while singing (pulling arms apart or feeling core engagement by how we stand)
-be very careful of final "s"s in songs, always as short and quiet as possible
True colours
-leads make sure the melody is always phrased and shaped musically
-thinking of big picture dynamics
Little help from my friends
-when baritones have melody, leads and tenors sing "ah"
You're the one
-leads avoid scooping up to notes
December
-think of story (happy memories that are in the past)
Put a little
-we will put the practice tracks up soon!
Killarney
-nasal tone whenever we sing "christmas in killarney" words
-classical sound for first minor section
Fly Right
-keep it cool
Ten feet
-don't ever give more than 80% personality
Climb
-think of a bit of "H" to make the first "every" less splatty
