All over the globe, members of Sweet Adelines International (SAI) are joining together to “harmonize the world” with Open House events. This is an amazing organization of women singing in harmony and having fun. As a 20-year SAI Chapter, Grand Harmony Chorus (GHC) enjoys singing and performing a cappella, four-part harmony music, in barbershop style. Our chorus invites you to our upcoming Barbershop Bootcamp on Tuesday September 27, 2016.

SAI encourages women all over the world to reach their full singing potential with unlimited training and educational opportunities, as well as a chance to perform and entertain. As a member, you will soon discover fun, social activities; an enlarged circle of friends; and exciting performance opportunities.

MICHIGAN – It was well worth the drive to the Dearborn Performing Arts Center in Dearborn, MI for the members of the Grand Harmony Chorus, including several from Cambridge, Elmira, New Hamburg, Guelph, Kitchener, Harriston, Listowel, Kenilworth, St Agatha, New Dundee, Plattsville and Waterloo. Led by their award-winning director, Chris Arnold, this local women’s barbershop chorus returned home with medals after finishing second in the mid-size chorus (31 to 60 members) and fourth in the overall chorus categories of the recent Sweet Adelines International Border Lakes Region 2 Competition held on April 14 to 16, 2016.

In the quartet competition, Grand Harmony Chorus’ quartet, Rezonation (Lisa Thompson, Christine Heipel, Mary Adams and Dianne Ritz) proudly placed 7th.

For Grand Harmony Chorus, fun-filled and flamboyant costumes and disguises were displayed on October 24, 2015 at Calvary United Church in St Jacobs, Ontario with our show, 'F. A. M. E.' as we also celebrated our 20th anniversary as a Sweet Adelines International chapter.

St. Peter's Lutheran Church in downtown Kitchener was the venue for Grand Harmony's annual family & friends send-off on April 18.

Sweet harmonies, lively entertainment, wonderful supporters and fans, complete with a great lasagna dinner following the performances made for a terrific contest send-off!

Grand Harmony serenaded a sold out crowd at their annual Christmas show held at the Elmira Lions Hall on November 30, 2014. Our MC and member, Erica Lee-Garcia eloquently carried the audience through GH`s varied and delightful repertoire. Our wonderful quartets (Key of She, Zamira, A Touch of Class, Rezonation and special guests Supertonic), enchanted the crowd with their ringing chords and fantastic harmonies. A resounding standing ovation and a surprise presentation of certified director pins to director Chris and assistant director Lisa, put the finishing touches on our amazing Christmas show!
