Lisa completed the Directors Certification Program with Sweet Adelines in 2018 and enjoyed being an Assistant Director with Grand Harmony Chorus from 2013 to 2019. She has been part of the Sweet Adeline organization since 1997, is a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society and an Associate member of Harmony Inc. Lisa is the Lead Section Leader in GHC and also enjoys coaching and helping quartets and individuals learn and grow. She has a passion for singing in the barbershop style and has sung in quartets and small ensembles throughout her membership. She is currently the lead in Rezonation Quartet.
To keep her passion for learning alive, Lisa has attended many regional music schools, education classes across Ontario, as well as attending SAI international conventions, both as a spectator and as a Harmony Classic competitor (as a dual member with the London Chorus), and looks forward to continuing to do so, whether virtually or in person as policies allow. She has also held various positions in GHC including Performance Chair, Bulletin Creator & Editor, Vice President, Secretary, and Assistant Director in addition to being Section Lead.
Growing up, Lisa enjoyed singing in school choirs, playing the hand bells and piano and comes from a very musical family – her father was a barbershopper for many years (Twin City Harmonizers), her mother is a 46+ yr member of Sweet Adelines (who also sings with Grand Harmony as a tenor), her oldest son plays guitar and her youngest son sang in the high school men's choir! Music is definitely a way of life and runs in the family.
